How do I use the Waffle Solver?
Click any active cell and type a letter. Then click the cell again to cycle its color — green means the letter is in the correct position, yellow means it is in the word but in the wrong spot, and gray means it does not belong in that word. Enter any remaining unplaced letters in the pool field, then click Find Possible Words.
What do the colored cells mean in Waffle?
Green cells are already in their correct position and do not need to move. Yellow cells contain the right letter for that word but it needs to swap somewhere else along the same row or column. Gray cells are not part of the word they are currently sitting in.
What does the Potential Letters Pool mean?
These are letters visible on your Waffle board that are not yet green — letters you know need to be placed somewhere but are not sure where. Entering them gives the solver a strict constraint so it only suggests word combinations buildable from your actual tiles.
What are intersection-compatible suggestions?
A word might look perfect for Row 1, but if the letter at the corner conflicts with Column 1 it cannot be the answer. The solver only shows words that survive all six-way intersection checks simultaneously — so every suggestion is a genuine candidate for the full board.
How many swaps does Waffle allow?
The standard daily Waffle puzzle gives you 15 swaps. A perfect solve uses the minimum number of swaps possible. Once you know which words go in each slot, plan your swaps starting from corners and intersections to minimise wasted moves.
