Enter any word and hit Check. The tool looks it up against the TWL (Tournament Word List) / NWL (North American Word List) — the official dictionary for competitive Scrabble in the US and Canada. If the word appears in the list, it's valid. If not, it isn't.
Point values use the standard Scrabble tile distribution: A, E, I, O, U, L, N, R, S, T score 1 point each; premium tiles like Q and Z score 10. The score shown is the base face value — board multipliers (double letter, triple word, etc.) are applied during actual play and aren't calculated here.
Note: this checker uses the North American TWL/NWL word list. Some words valid in the international SOWPODS/Collins Scrabble Words dictionary (used in most countries outside North America) may return "not valid" here, and vice versa.
